SMALL IDEAS
We get in our own ways: What would happen if you just did, you didn’t spend time worrying what if and you just did?
Failure isn’t meant to be avoided: What if you didn’t care if you failed, like really didn’t mind? What if we took all the emotion away from failure?
Imagine a life without job titles: What would you do if you didn’t have a job title? Like they didn’t exist?
How much of your job do you spend in your flow state: What if all you cared about was maximising that feeling of being engulfed in life?
CONTENT FROM ME: 3 Habits That Helped Me Write a 70,000-word Book Alongside My 9–5
It’s not as hard as you think but there are some habits you’ll want to master
It took me 4–5 months to write a book alongside my 9–5 before that I was writing every day on the internet (pretty much).
But I didn’t wake up every morning bouncing out of bed ready to hit the work. I also didn’t finish my 9–5 raring to go.
I had 3 quiet habits that helped me.
1. Start with something
I didn’t start each day with zilch.
I’d been writing online for the last 1.5 years, I knew starting with nothing was a recipe for disaster. You spend more time trying to search your thoughts for a half-decent one than you do writing.
A book is never going to be written if all you do is think.

THE SCIENCE
People aren’t thinking about you: Back in 1997, Dunbar, Marriott et al found that 78% of conversations involved talking about ourselves and our perceptions of the world.
Nature helps your body: seriously it’s called ecopsychology: “In a study of 20,000 people, a team led by Mathew White of the European Centre for Environment & Human Health at the University of Exeter, found that people who spent two hours a week in green spaces — local parks or other natural environments, either all at once or spaced over several visits — were substantially more likely to report good health and psychological well-being than those who don’t.” - Yale Environment 360
Hey, share this thing, will ya?
That’s all for now, hope you have a belter of a Tuesday and enjoy the week ahead. Remember, don’t sweat the small stuff and enjoy what you’re doing, life is too short!
