Happy Monday 👋

This is the Part-Time Creator Club the newsletter that helps you build your side business without the hype, confusion, or fluff — the real stuff (Like the espresso, not the milk). I’m an 80:20 kinda person. This is the 80:20 of business ‘stuff’ that you need to make your thing a success.

This is a paid post. Go paid in 2-clicks.

If there’s anything I like more than a roaring fire on a rainy day (and I do really love that) it’s to sit and comb through businesses to figure out why they work and how they could work better.

I know, it’s weird. It’s been a hobby for ages, don’t judge (I’m just being me).

So a few weeks ago I messaged Riz (a top-notch guy who has been a fan of the Part-Time Creator Club for ages) and asked him if I could overhaul his brand.

The plan was, to see if it was a service I wanted to offer, 14 hours, one gigantic mural board, and too many cups of coffee, this is how I revamped his entire brand.

BTW this is long so bucket your seatbelts.

Snapshot of the MURAL I created to go through the redesign, link at the end of this email :)

Meet Riz:

The great thing about Riz is he’s shown that he can consistently produce content and has a passion for this stuff (a big part of the game is being able to show up long enough to make this work) but I think with a few tweaks, we can really make him stand out.

This isn’t a ‘make me rich tomorrow’ type thing. The idea would be to get Riz making $500-1000 a month by month 12 by writing content about the stuff he loves.

To figure out what we need to improve, we need to see what we’re starting with.

Here’s Riz’s socials:

Right, now let’s ‘walk-it-through’…

Step 1: The ‘AS-IS’ business model

Whenever I’m looking at a business problem the first question I have is: what’s the experience right now? I walk through the experience as if I’m a customer and write out the things I’m feeling and thinking.

This is the map of how a customer (me) went through Riz’s stuff.

‘AS-IS’ business model taken from the MURAL board. Link to the board at the end of this email :)

The problem?
